EMF Health-effects Research
Do 27 MHz and 2450 MHz radiation affect in vitro proliferation of human LN-71 glioma cells Shi R, Davis CC, Motkin SM Presented at BEMS in Long Beach, Calif 1999 Motorola-funded Contractor: Deparment of Chemistry, Polytechnic Uni, Brooklyn New York and Dept of Electrical Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland. This study explored the possible effects of 27MHz and 2450 MHz exposure on human LN-71 glioma cells. It followed earlier reports (including Cleary, 1990) of RF-induced proliferation under similar conditions of exposure. The researchers in this study found no significant changes in cell distribution or cell proliferation (using flow cytometry) in cells exposure at 5, 25, 50, or 100 W/kg. |
