    #849: Electromagnetic Fields, A Consumer’s Guide to the Issues and How to Protect Ourselves

    From B. Blake Levitt:

    All,
    After 13 years of publishing my first book on the subject of EMFs, “Electromagnetic Fields, A Consumer’s Guide to the Issues and How to Protect Ourselves” (Harcourt Brace, 1995), they decided to let it go out of print in late ’07 when Macmillan bought the company. People tell me that’s a long run these days for any book. I’ve just brought out a new edition with the Author’s Guild Back-in-Print program at iUniverse. It includes a new 5-page Foreword with material on wireless technologies and the Telecom Act of 1996, a new cover and some graphics. The interior of the book is the same. It is now available through:

    * Barnes & Noble at:

    0595476074

    * Amazon at:

    http://www.amazon.com/Electromagnetic-Fields-Consumers-Protect-Ourselves
    /dp/0595476074/ref=sr_11_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1199916859&sr=11-1

    * iUniverse at:

    http://www.iuniverse.com/bookstore/book_detail.asp?isbn=0-595-47607-4

    The book is more expensive than the first edition. Apparently that is true for print-on-demand publishers in general though for what reason I cannot fathom. (Anyone wanting to buy in bulk should contact iUniverse directly and for people with websites that link to resources, it’s probably best to use the iUniverse page.) This was the best way to keep it in print as it continues to be a classic in the genre. I hope to be doing another book soon with a focus on RF and the environment.

    Thanks and Best Regards,
    B. Blake Levitt
